The original stucco substrate was carefully stripped using Sherwin‑Williams Peel Away, an eco‑friendly paper‑based remover, before new stucco was applied across the entire exterior. The transformation was remarkable, leaving the home a solid white showpiece maintained under EMG’s professional painting program.
Industry leaders including Sherwin‑Williams, PPG Industries, AkzoNobel, Benjamin Moore, Behr, and Nippon contributed products during the restoration. The home earned the Beautiful Home Award in 2021, presented by the Lakewood City Council and Mayor, and today serves as EMG Painting Company’s home office. Our roots run deep — the owner also grew up in a historic Lakewood house at 1053 Maple Cliff Avenue, built in 1908‑1909. That heritage drives our passion for preserving and upgrading Lakewood homes with care, precision, and neighborly service.
